AbstractThis Issue of Arab Journal of Applied Linguistics concentrates on topics related to Reading and Writing Skills and reviews a book on Evaluation and a book on fostering Democratic Education. The first two articles focus on learner attitudes towards and practices of Reading and Writing, while the third article addresses the effect of diglossia on literacy development.
